TIES for Adoption, a division of the Pediatrics Department at UCLA, asked me to help them develop a full-fledged Web site for them. At the time, they were stuck with a single page on a Web site for the UCLA Center for Healthier Children, Families & Communities (see fig. 1). TIES desperately wanted to have a larger presence that gave them the space they needed to provide their clients, as well as other professionals, access to an array of resources that could not fit on a single page.

The client also wanted to be able to update the site on their own. The new site, therefore, came with a Content Management System (CMS). It also has a search feature and a link to a "Kid's Corner" where children can learn about books and other resources developed especially for them.

My Involvement: I created the graphic design and coded the CSS/HTML for the template pages. Chris Worley of Red Apple Design provided the ASP.NET progamming for the site and created the CMS.
